Metaplex's current Solana NFT standard: one account per asset, a plugin system (royalties, freeze, attributes) and JS and Rust SDKs. Metaplex charges a 0.0015 SOL protocol fee per asset created plus a small fee on execute, and says fees may change. The program uses Metaplex's own license, which bars forks that compete with it; the JS client is Apache-2.0. Solana only, and Core assets are separate from older Token Metadata NFTs with no automatic migration.
